Peter is Head Gardener at Walmer Castle where one of his first projects has been to plant a jungle garden in the moat.
Talks start at 7.30pm
Please arrive at the Small Village Hall shortly after 7.00pm
How to grow a Foliage Garden
This talk follows on from his book “The Jungle Garden”, which mainly focuses on how to combine foliage. He will discuss different aspects of this and show examples of good combinations of foliage plants.
He will also discuss the differences between exotic/tropical gardens and jungle gardens. His aim for jungle gardens is to use plants which are fully hardy in the UK so people won’t have to worry about digging plants up and overwintering them.
Why not join the society and come to all of our talks for free, its only £15 for the year.
Otherwise we charge £5 for each talk if you are not a member.
